Last evening, I was reminded to be present and be attentive to the task at hand. There can be a lot to do around the holidays so practice being fully attentive! Here is my story...Yesterday I started early, attending a wonderful program by Dr. David Drake on Narrative Coaching, then I went to YoyoYogi for yoga, then I swung by Sheridan Meats for soup bones, then was home by 11 for a massage. After the massage, I ate a little lunch, put the soup bones in broth with some other veggies to create the beef soup broth for the evening. By 1:15, I was off to pick up office furniture at the warehouse. Returning home, I unloaded it, and got chopping for the vegetable beef soup and stuffing for delivery to my sister-in-law. Eventually, while chopping an onion, my mind wandered to the next task....at that second, I sliced the tip of my finger (because I had gotten my knives sharpen lol)... my finger is okay and now I have a little owwwee to help me remember, there is enough time to be right here, present for the task at hand.
