Pick a short task you need to do today, (e.g. writing an email, picking up your kids, taking out the trash). Before, during and completing the task, practice focusing all of your attention on the task and notice when your attention wanders, gently bringing it back to the task at hand.
Reflection Question: How does this change the experience of doing the task? Can you find something to be grateful for in doing each task as well as in accomplishing it? Is there some beauty you can experience in this process?
