When you eat, drink and snack this week, practice noticing your experience. Bring your attention to every element of eating. Notice how it feels to swallow your food. Are you ordering your food or preparing it? Notice the sounds and scents around you. Feel the texture of the food as you chew it. Notice how your body feels? See how much of the experience you can be present to including the flavors, scents and textures of the food while you chew or drink it.
Reflection Question: In what ways did the mindful eating practice affect your experience of eating? Keep something around to jot down your notes of your experience with each meal and/or snack.
